MORE LOVE: Prince of Queens & Deejay Theory
at De La Luz in Holyoke
co-presented with Laudable Productions
Starting in April of 2025, Secret Planet teams up with De La Luz Soundstage and Original Ting Music to bring you a borderless club night in Holyoke.
Deejay Theory, our fearless local purveyor of international dance genres, is our co-pilot. Together we’ll invite DJs and artists from around the world for a broader, more global dance experience.
The newly kitted-out De La Luz, formerly Gateway City Arts, is now under the thoughtful stewardship of Lighthouse and Laudable Productions. They’ve made some fantastic improvements to the room, from acoustic improvements to lighting to a full bar. We’ve taken a test run through the space and think its going to be a killer hang for this kind of thing.
a local vision for global dance

Felipe Quiroz, AKA Prince of Queens, is a Colombian-born, NYC-raised producer, DJ, and multi-instrumentalist blending the city’s trans-Caribbean energy into a fresh sonic identity. His sound fuses deep house and techno with tropical disco, cumbia, and merengue — a unique take on underground dance music through the lens of a Colombian immigrant.
With his latest EP Merida on Brooklyn’s Razor-N-Tape, Prince invites you to a dance floor where vintage tropical vibes meet modular synths.
Prince of Queens has held residencies at Brooklyn’s Black Flamingo, Jupiter Disco, with his "Tropical Past and Future" party. He's also played iconic venues and clubs including Central Park SummerStage, Public Records, Good Room and many more.
A core member of the band COMBO CHIMBITA, Felipe tours extensively across the US and Europe. An avid record collector and music technologist, POQ's releases on Names You Can Trust and SecondHand Records, showcase his deep roots in NYC's Latinx and underground dance music scene.

A New England native by way of San Francisco, Jake Krauth has been swimming in international musical waters for most of his adult life. While out West, he co-founded and hosted TORMENTA TROPICAL, a decade-long dance party in SF’s Mission district. His in-demand DJ sets diffuse a multiplicity of genres with careful craftsmanship, exquisitely blended with near-zero turbulence and maximal groove.
